N-Acetyl Semax Amidate is a modified form of Semax, a synthetic heptapeptide analogue of the ACTH(4-10) fragment. The N-terminus is acetylated and the C-terminus is amidated (sequence Ac-Met-Glu-His-Phe-Pro-Gly-Pro-NH2), modifications studied for their potential to increase resistance to aminopeptidase degradation. Investigated for neuroprotective and nootropic effects in cognitive and neural research.
